Professional bio:
Christine Porter launched Peace and Pear, LLC as a privately funded company in 2017. A graphic designer and board certified health and wellness coach, she is currently creative founder and chief arts and crafts designer for the mindfulness company and develops all its products and packaging.
She offers workshops, group coaching sessions and full-day immersion retreats to celebrate each individual’s uniqueness. Porter’s products are designed to “help people connect with their inner guidance so they can begin living a life filled with passion and purpose.” In the summer of 2018, she launched the highly-successful Soulful Connections, a 120-card deck filled with thought-provoking questions. The deck is ideal for self-reflection or to use as a game with family and friends, or as an ice-breaker for use by coaches, retreat facilitators, or anyone looking for a unique way to inspire deeper conversations. Her follow up product, the Soulful Connections Companion Journal, has been popular among journal users and those who love to use vision boards to gain clarity on their hopes, dreams and visions for their future.
As a graphic designer, Porter previously operated two design businesses, CPorter Design and Christine Porter Design. She provided creative strategy and design for award-winning print and digital campaigns for businesses of all sizes, including ad agencies and marketing firms. Her extensive design experience also includes service as art director for Brand Orchard, creative director for Logisoft Interactive, creative director for Innovative Natural Products, and senior designer for Jenny Craig International, Corporate Headquarters.
Prior to forming Peace and Pear, she also served as senior manager of creative services for Rochester Regional Health, an integrated health services organization serving the Greater Rochester, New York region. As the head of the creative services department, she executed the creative direction and management of internal and freelance design teams including photographers, videographers and writers. Porter also led the development of large-scale integrated marketing campaigns from kick-off to recap.
Porter earned her bachelor’s degree in Arts and Letters from Michigan State University and completed post-graduate work with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she received her board certification as a Health and Wellness Coach.
Recently, she has been featured on “Good Morning Rochester,” Rochester, N.Y.’s Fox affiliate station’s morning program, Choice, professional coaching magazine, as well as Valerie DJ B Love’s Big DREAM School Podcast.
