Starting from the beginning.
It wasn’t so long ago that I had my own personal health crisis. This led to me going back to school to become a board-certified wellness coach. I learned a lot about how to take better care of my mind and body and how to help my clients find more balance as well.
My health crisis was also a personal crisis. I began looking at my life and realized how unhappy I had become. I was in career burnout that left me very stressed, tired and feeling sick. My long-term relationship was in pieces and I suffered great betrayal from someone I had trusted, loved and shared my life with. As I struggled to find the reasons and maybe even the lessons in all my pain, I knew somehow there had to be a different path for me. I was not going to spend another year feeling lost, hurt and betrayed.
I began meditating. It was painful at first, sitting in all that quiet and having my thoughts bounce around. After trying many different styles of meditation, I found one that worked for me. It stuck. It made me feel good and I began doing it every day. Sometimes I didn’t even realize how long I was sitting still.
I knew I was rewiring my brain and getting rid of my fears, anger and doubts. I began to let go, a little bit at a time. I practiced living in the moment and chasing out my constant thoughts of what was coming next. That calmed me. It helped me sleep better at night and my friends told me I was easier to be around.
The most powerful answers are the ones that come from within.
During these meditations, questions kept coming into my mind. I began asking life’s “big” questions. What is my greatest passion? What am I supposed to be doing with my life? What beliefs do I have that are keeping me “stuck”? What is my greatest fear and has it come true? Am I listening to my intuition and letting it guide me? I began journaling my thoughts and I began to see my world differently.
"When you remember you are the author of your own life story, you can create a masterpiece at any time." This quote led me to start a new journey in transformational coaching.
This is how my flagship product, Soulful Connections was born.
I had so many burning questions about the world, my life, my beliefs, what I wanted to become … I wrote them down and shared them with friends at dinner parties. The conversations started and we all began discussing life’s “Big” questions. That’s when I saw the changes in myself and my friends. We weren’t so asleep anymore. We became more introspective. And, that led to a much happier life. I hope you will find Soulful Connections as empowering and fun as we do!
We all need a guide from time to time.
I believe one of the greatest acts of kindness is to give back to someone who is struggling. There have been many people in my life who have taken my hand and guided me on the path to finding my inner peace. Some are spiritual teachers that many of us follow through best-selling books and classes. Many are the friends I have made along the way in spiritual groups, yoga and meditation retreats and those who I have been privileged enough to call my soul family. Let's make a difference together.
Peace, love and pear!
